A proposed collaboration between Advisor AI Partners and the Florida SBDC at UNF — bringing practical AI operating systems to the small businesses you already serve.
Most leaders in this space talk about innovation. Debbie has lived it — as a business owner, educator, technologist, and now as the person who decides what small businesses across 18 Florida counties learn next.
"Debbie is a proven leader in small business advocacy and development who combines extensive experience with practical SBDC operations knowledge and firsthand small business ownership."
Debbie joined UNF's SBDC in October 2023 with a rare combination of entrepreneurial experience, academic teaching, and technology literacy. She ran her own consulting firm, taught at Chatham University's Center for Women's Entrepreneurship, directed innovation programs at West Virginia SBDC, and is currently an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at UNF.
She didn't hire someone to run the AI Institute — she got her Google AI certification in 2025 herself. That's not delegation. That's conviction.
Small businesses are entering the most disruptive decade of their existence. The SBDC has the trust and reach. We have the system. Together, we fill the gap no one else is filling.
AI tools are no longer for tech companies. Every plumber, restaurant owner, and financial advisor needs to understand how to use AI to run their business — or they'll be outcompeted by one who does.
2,000+ regional clients already trust the SBDC for no-cost, unbiased guidance. That trust is irreplaceable — every client who walks through the door is a warm introduction to education that actually matters.
Most AI content is either too theoretical, too technical, or built to sell software. There's nothing that teaches a small business owner how to build a real AI operating system in plain English.
Not another AI tool. Not another ChatGPT course. A complete five-layer system that gives any business owner their time back — one layer at a time.
This isn't a vendor relationship. Both organizations show up with their best — and small businesses leave with something that actually changes their business.
We co-develop and deliver AI Operating System training as part of the SBDC's existing education programs — workshops, bootcamps, or a dedicated AIOS track within the AI Institute.
SBDC clients who need hands-on AIOS implementation — custom builds, data pipelines, or full fractional AI officer engagements — are referred to Advisor AI Partners for deeper work.
David Ortiz joins SBDC's speaker roster — including the 2026 Small Business Success Summit — delivering the AI Renaissance talk already proven at UNF's own symposium.
Each module is a standalone workshop that delivers immediate value — and builds toward a complete AI Operating System if a business goes through all five.
We're not here to pitch a finished product. We're here to understand your clients, your constraints, and where there's a real fit.
Everything we build starts with listening. The SBDC has 50 years of relationship capital with small businesses across Northeast Florida. We have a system that's working. The job of this meeting is to find where those two things fit together — not to sign anything.
We'll ask questions, share what we've built, and leave with a clear picture of whether there's a real partnership here — and if so, what the first step looks like.
We're not asking for a commitment today. We're asking for a clear first step — small enough to start, real enough to prove value.
